I’m returning from a three days conference in Charlottesville, Virginia on the future of Holocaust testimonies conference. 20 Scholars from Israel Europe and the USA, gathered in an interdisciplinary conference and gave stimulating talks which led to fascinating discussions. I gave a talk on gender perspectives in contemporary Holocaust documentaries. I also taught a seminar in the university of Virginia, so I had a chance to meet the wonderful students in the Jewish studies program (and to take a selfie with them). Plus – I had a chance to see what a real autumn looks like…
הרציתי בכנס בשארלוטסוויל, וירג'יניה על עתיד העדויות של ניצולי השואה. בנוסף לימדתי סמינר באוניברסיטת וירג'יניה וזכיתי להכיר את הסטודנטים המקסימים של התכנית ללימודי יהדות (וגם לעשות איתם סלפי). הכנס קיבץ חוקרים מישראל, ארה"ב ואירופה שדנו בנושא מהרבה זוויות שונות ויצרו חווית למידה מרתקת. וגם – סוף כל סוף אפשר לראות סתיו אמיתי
