Gave a talk at the Film & History conference in Milwaukee about the representation of Jewish-Germans in contemporary Holocaust documentary. My panel colleague was Prof. Lawrence Baron, a walking Encyclopedia of film who gave a fascinating talk about 1940s and 1950s Holocaust documentaries. Even had time for a (false) joy ride in on of the city's pride and joys – A Harley-Davidson.
הרציתי בכנס קולנוע והיסטוריה במילווקי על ייצוג השואה בקולנוע העכשווי. איתי בפאנל היה פרופ' לורנס בארון, אנציקלופדיה מהלכת על קולנוע שנתן הרצאה מרתקת על ייצוג השואה בסרטים דוקומנטרים מוקדמים. אפילו מצאתי זמן לרכב (כאילו) על אחד מאופנועי הארלי-דוידסון שמיוצרים בעיר מתחילת המאה העשרים.
