I gave a talk in “communities leaders” seminar of “Remembrance in the Living Room” (Zicaron Ba’salon). They are in charge of hundreds of thousands people who host in their living room more than million people on Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year they predicate more than one million and a half people in Israel and 55 other countries. I talked about incorporating documentary films in the gatherings on Holocaust Remembrance Day – the films’ power and their ability to start multiple discussions among the attendees.
הרציתי אתמול בערב בסמינר "מובילי קהילות" של זכרון בסלון. מובילי הקהילות הם מי שאחראים על מאות אלפי האנשים שמארחים בסלונים שלהם ביום הזכרון לשואה יותר ממליון איש. השנה יש צפי למליון וחצי איש ב 55 מדינות. דיברתי איתם על האפשרויות לשלב סרטים דוקומנטרים העוסקים בניצולי השואה בסלונים: הכוח של הסרטים והאפשרויות שלהם לפתוח דיון בשלל נושאים.
